KNX Awards 2026: A Saudi Project Among the Winners
On 6 October 2026, KNX Association announced the winners of the 16th KNX Awards, which recognise outstanding smart home and smart building projects worldwide. The Gulf was well represented this year.
Winners from the region
- Novotel Madinah Hotel, Saudi Arabia won Smart Building – Asia.
- Tilal Al Ghaf, Dubai took the People's Choice Award, voted by the KNX community.
Congratulations to the teams behind both projects. It is a clear sign of how far building automation in the region has come.
Why it matters to building owners
KNX is an open, internationally recognised standard. It lets lighting, HVAC, blinds and room management from different manufacturers work as one system, with no lock-in to a single vendor, and it stays easy to extend and maintain over the building's life. In hospitality, that means better guest comfort and less energy wasted in unoccupied rooms.
At GLTS, we design and deliver KNX and guest room management (GRMS) solutions across Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai.
